Dan and Paula Lumadue

AGWM Missionaries to Japan

  • Dan and Paula Lumadue are Assemblies of God World Missionaries to Japan.

  • The greater Tokyo area is home to 36 million people, which is nearly 25% of the population, and the most populated city in the world.

  • Only one-third of 1% of Japan’s population are believers, making the Japanese the second largest “NEVER-REACHED Peoples Group” in the world as most of this 99.7% have not even heard the Good News of Jesus Christ in all of human history!

  • Located in this greater Tokyo area, Yokota is also home to one of our Air Force bases and provides the opportunity to provide a Spirit-empowered place of worship and ministry to these families who are serving our nation.

  • Dan and Paula will serve as Lead Pastor of Yokota ICA, which will be a hub of ministry to bring life and hope as the “land of the rising sun” experiences the love and power of the Risen Son!

So, will you minister to the US Military, Internationals, or the Japanese?

We get this question a lot! And, the answer is...

This Is Our Vision

  • We see a ministry where people gather together and experience a community of faith centered upon the Word of God and the Presence and Power of the Holy Spirit!

  • This experience unites those who gather, no matter their country of origin.
  • This is what happened on the Day of Pentecost, and we have seen God work in this way when we pastored Neighborhood A/G Church in Okinawa, Japan.
  • In this atmosphere of God's love, power, and presence, we see people drawn to Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, united in love, and drawn to Kingdom purpose.
  • This shared purpose is that many will experience the HOPE and NEW LIFE that is found in Christ, and be trained and equipped to exponentially expand the Light of Christ in Japan.
  • By Faith, can you see it too?
  • We invite you to believe, and therefore see, and be a part as you partner with us!

US Military at Yokota

Those who are serving at Yokota Air Base are literally "across the street" from where we will minister. Our experience in pastoring the military community has shown us the need, as well as the impact, of reaching our military families when they are stationed overseas. Far from home, they find a home, a church, a family, and purpose as they become a part of the community of faith! Young people, young families, and new believers are tremendously impacted by this type of ministry. We have also seen a number of these dear friends go into ministry after their military careers!

The Japanese

When we began to translate services into Japanese in Okinawa, something amazing happened. People would walk in, experience God's presence and the worship experience with others from all over the world, and they would know that something different was happening here! As a result, we saw many Japanese come to Christ and grow in Him. We expect the same God to be at work as we go to Yokota! Pray with us that the experience of God's presence, among His people would draw many in this nation to Christ, and then allow us to train them to go into their nation and reach others for eternity!

International Community

Tokyo is one of the largest cities in the world, and people come from all places and backgrounds. Ministry in this International context allows us to pour into people who will either remain in Tokyo and minister to others, or will return to their country and make an eternal difference in places that sometimes we cannot even reach! This is an exciting time to influence the world for Christ from the city of Tokyo! You can be a part of this as you pray and partner with us! Scroll down to see how!

Would you like to be a part of the ministry God has called us to in Japan?

If so, there are several ways you can help us:

  1. Personal Faith Promises – A faith promise is a monthly commitment to support us. This is how A/G missionaries are supported and sent – only through the giving that comes in through supporters. You can select either an online pledge form, or the link to GIVE and PARTNER online (be sure to click “make this a recurring monthly gift” at the bottom of the giving page to make it a monthly commitment).  (Both open in new tabs)

  2. Church Services – Pastors, invite us to come and share a missions window. We are sharing what we have seen God do during our time in Japan, as well as the vision for what He will do. You can contact us by clicking HERE. (Message page opens in new tab)

  3. Share with others – Please “like” and “share” our GoJapan.AG Social Media pages (see links below)

Terry Raburn - Peninsular-Florida District Superintendent

What an absolute joy to have this blessing from our District Superintendent, Terry Raburn, as we prepare to go to Japan.  We are so grateful for the district leadership and family, and are honored to represent the Lord, our fellowship, and our district as we head to Tokyo!  It has been (and continues to be) wonderful to get out into our district and see what God is doing!  Even in the midst of chaos in our world, God is still on His Throne, and the Great Commission is still the reflection of the heart of God!  Thank you for affirming this, Pastor Terry!

Doug Clay: General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God

We appreciate this prayer of blessing from Doug Clay, General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God.  We first got to know Doug when he was our District Superintendent when we pastored in Ohio.  He was one of the first people to know about our recent appointment to missions and was excited for us as we prepare in this “stage of life” for what God has ahead!  Thank you Pastor Doug Clay for your prayer of blessing and your heart for missions!

Dr. George O. Wood:
Former General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God and Current Chairman of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship

We appreciate Dr. Wood’s encouragement and leadership, and you will also see a unique connection to Paula’s family and the rich heritage of missions! To whom much is given, much is required, and we are honored to continue in the footsteps of those who have carried the Gospel to the Ends of the Earth!

Tim Enloe - Friend, Author, Leader of Holy Spirit Conferences, and General Council Photobomber!

We truly are grateful for the friendship, ministry, and consistent Holy Spirit emphasis of Tim and Rochelle Enloe.  Tim has known us, and especially Paula’s family, for years, and we were blessed that he took time out from photobombing the video of microphone number 5 at General Council in order to share a few moments with us.
